Demonstration, everyone welcome

March 31: Thread Sketching and Pillows, 7 p.m. Thread “painting” and thread “sketching” are techniques to create realistic effects on art quilts or portrait quilts. By studying color values and dimension, you can “paint” an object with thread or use thread as the “paint” with fabric to enhance the play of light and shadow. Sandy Salazar will present the step-by-step process she uses to create the thread-sketched flowers and images on her pillows, including some tips and tricks in exploring this technique.

Movies, Wednesdays at 1 p.m. Free popcorn! All are welcome!
