Granby’s Four Season Farm

CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture, and it is the best way to support your local farm and improve your own health. CSA members pay wholesale prices before the season begins, giving the farm much-needed income to purchase seeds, supplies and hire staff, and guaranteeing members a weekly supply of fresh vegetables from June to October.

Beyond Organic ….

Our growing methods are best described as holistic. We are not “certified” organic because our standards far exceed those of certification. We use no GMOs (Genetically Modified Organisms), no synthetic fertilizers, no pesticides, no fungicides and no herbicides—not even the “Organically Approved” ones. Some of these “Organic” shortcuts are highly toxic to pollinators, plants and people. Our choice is to take the slow, steady road of building our soils each year (with leaves, compost, wood chips, cover crops, minerals, trace elements). Every decision made on the farm has to improve the soil and the life in it. As long as we do that, happy plants will grow and a truly healthy harvest will be at hand.
